Showcasing the most innovative projects, technologies, and ideas that are transforming Houston's landscape, this editorial series and awards program will highlight the very best in innovation across various industries. From tech startups to established companies, the groundbreaking achievements and innovative spirit of Houston's brightest minds will be celebrated.

November 1 — Greentown Labs Climatetech Summit 2023

The summit will be day of hands-on exploration with over 200 startups and their climatetech solutions; keynotes and sessions featuring leaders across climatetech, finance, policy, and justice; and networking with key climate action pioneers. Learn about the momentum of Greentown startups, corporate partners, and ecosystem champions have been building together, how these collaborations will chart the course for climatetech deployment, and how everyone can play a role in commercializing climate technologies.

November 6 — Equitable Access to Innovation Conference

Speakers will explore the intersection of developing accessible innovations and examine the resources and capabilities needed to help bring these potential solutions to market. They will also focus on the unique benefits the Texas ecosystem holds to help innovators develop multi-use technologies with commercial and preparedness applications needed to protect our global communities against the evolving threat landscape.

November 9 — gBETA Houston 2023 Showcase

In partnership with the Downtown Launchpad and the City of Houston, this showcase will display the passionate founders of the Spring 2023 and Fall 2023 cohorts committed to solving problems within the Houston downtown area.

November 13 — Panel of Experts: The Future of Life Sciences

Tune into the Houston Business Journal's Panel of Experts discussion led by its own Market President and Publiser, Bob Charlet. President and CEO of the TMC, Bill Mckeon, will be a representative for TMC on the panel, while Kenneth Ramos will represent Texas A&M. The panel will be 45 minutes with 10-15 minutes of Q&A. The public will have the opportunity to engage with the panelists during the Q&A session.

November 14 — Center for Houston’s Future’s Dinner and Conversation

This year's event will feature renowned physician-scientist Dr. Peter J. Hotez in conversation with William F. McKeon, President and CEO of the Texas Medical Center. The discussion will cover the future of tropical diseases and medicine, lessons from the pandemic, and how Houston is innovating in Texas to make a difference at home and across the world.

November 15 - Bayou City Bio Pulse

The next edition of the Bayou City Bio Pulse will be taking place on Wednesday, November 15. It is a collaboration between BioHouston, Hines, and the Life Sciences Committee at the Greater Houston Partnership to highlight different participants in the Houston life science/biotech ecosystem. Ridgeline Therapeutics and Sino Biological will present followed by networking.

November 15 — Multifamily Unit EV Infrastructure and Charging Symposium

This symposium will address the importance, advantages, and challenges of deploying electric vehicle charging infrastructure at multifamily unit (MFU) housing properties in Houston, where 58% of the region's residents are renters.

Evolve Houston is bringing together EV experts, property managers, and infrastructure leaders to inform attendees of the value of at-home EV charging for MFU properties.
